Chief among these issues are the consideration of changes to the County ordinance governing cannabis cultivation, and new regulations for city parks and beaches that could result in periodic bans for repeat offenders. Both of these issues have spurred on controversy and mobilized activists and organizations across the County, meaning that these will be prime opportunities for civic engagement by all members of the public.
